How to get travel insurance for your journey

To activate your cover, you need to purchase at least 50% of your pre-paid travel expenses on your TSB Platinum Mastercard.

Your TSB Platinum Mastercard card must be current for the entire period of insurance.

What is an eligible travel expense?

These can include, but aren't limited to:

  • Flights and other transport
  • Accommodation
  • Car rental
  • Pre-paid tours
  • Cruises
  • Taxes
  • Other pre-paid travel costs purchased before your journey starts (as shown on your itinerary).

What if someone else paid for my trip?

If you don’t have pre-paid travel expenses because your trip was gifted, won or purchased for you, you may still be eligible for cover.

This doesn’t apply to business trips paid for by your employer or business, and your TSB Platinum Mastercard must be current for the entire period of insurance.

Eligibility can depend on your circumstances, so call Allianz Partners on 0800 800 357 to confirm whether you’re covered. They’re available 8.30am–5pm Monday to Friday, except public holidays.
